Civil Engineer - Federal

Jacobs . The base pay range for this position is $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year, and the role offers opportunities to work on federal and environmental projects, including site development for military and other federal facilities, with potential travel to project sites including international locations.
Responsibilities
Assess site features and create site layouts, utilities systems, pavements, grading and drainage plans, stormwater management facilities, and erosion control designs.
Produce 3D models using Civil3D software for site work surfaces and underground utilities.
Prepare engineering drawings and specifications, and generate material take‑offs for estimating.
Assist with on‑site construction services, reviewing and approving contractor submittals.
Collaborate with senior civil staff and Project Managers, providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
Attend multi‑discipline design coordination meetings and research/implement regulatory and permitting requirements.
Act as lead project engineer for specific projects within larger developments, reporting to a civil program lead.
Serve as the Engineer of Record (PE) on projects within the engineer’s area of expertise and experience.
Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer.
At least 8 years of experience on site development projects.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Strong background in plan production and project execution.
AutoCAD Civil3D design experience, including development of 3D site models.
United States Citizen.
Preferred: Experience with Federal clients and projects.
Preferred: Experience with Bluebeam software.
