Junior level Accountant — Book Keeping skills — 5 days onsite in Vernon, CA.
Base Pay $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Overview A growing company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions with a strong focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). This role includes processing vendor invoices, managing payments, reconciling customer receipts, and supporting reporting and month-end close activities. The position works closely with the Accounting Manager and plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and smooth accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices and manage AP/AR workflows
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals
Assist with audits and special accounting projects
Collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate and timely financial records
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in accounting with a strong AP/AR background
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
Experience in vendor management (required)
Experience in distribution (a plus)
Education Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Accpac, or similar)
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
Personal Attributes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Reliable, systematic, and communicates effectively
