About The Job
Osborne Homes is a fast‑moving real estate investment company, and we value open‑mindedness, urgency, accountability, transparency, and innovation. We’re at a key inflection point and are looking for a Senior Accountant to help stabilize, own, and elevate our accounting function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the close, working across multiple entities, and partnering closely with leadership and a fractional controller to keep the books clean, accurate, and lender‑ready.
What You’ll Do
Owning the month‑end close process across multiple real‑estate entities
Preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Completing and reviewing bank, loan, escrow, and intercompany reconciliations
Maintaining a clean, accurate general ledger in SoftLedger
Supporting lender and investor reporting, including loan compliance packages and property operating statements
Reviewing data imports from operational systems (e.g., AppFolio) and ensuring accuracy
Partnering with our fractional controller (LLŪM) to improve close processes, documentation, and controls
Proactively identifying issues, flagging risks, and recommending solutions
What We’re Looking For
Strong understanding of GAAP and balance‑sheet‑focused accounting
Experience owning or leading month‑end close
Comfort with multi‑entity accounting and intercompany transactions
Strong Excel skills and experience with cloud‑based accounting systems
Ability to prioritize, think critically, and operate with limited supervision
Real estate, investment, or construction accounting experience is a strong plus
What This Role Is (and Isn’t)
A senior, hands‑on accounting role with real ownership
A key partner to leadership and our fractional controller
Not a transactional data‑entry or purely task‑based role
Not a people‑management role (at least initially)
Compensation
Compensation will be dependent on location and experience.

Our business operates within Pacific Time Zone hours in a fully remote setting.
Candidates must be available within core business hours (8am–5pm PT).
Team members are expected to have access to a reliable laptop, a dedicated workspace, and stable high‑speed internet to ensure success in a remote environment.
