Search Group Solutions is recruiting a senior-level Tax Associate for a prominent law firm with a clearly defined partnership track. This role spans complex international, federal, state, and local tax matters, along with significant contributions to teaching, publishing, and professional presentations.
Overview This attorney will advise individual and business clients on corporate formation, acquisitions, mergers, restructurings, and a wide range of transactional and tax-related issues. The role also includes supporting an adjunct professor partner through teaching law school classes, writing for professional journals, and presenting at tax conferences. Strong business development capability is essential.
Requirements
JD and LL.M. in Taxation required
LL.M. must be from NYU, Georgetown, or Northwestern (Pritzker)
1015 years advising business clients on international, federal, state, and local tax matters
Willing to sit for the Louisiana bar if licensed elsewhere
Exceptional communication skills and strong work ethic
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proven business development track record
Collaborative and self-driven
Superior academic credentials
Impeccable research and writing skills
Publication credits required
Experience teaching in a law school environment
Experience presenting at tax conferences qualifying for CLE/CPE
Meticulous attention to detail and filing deadlines
Former CPA, government background, and/or international tax experience required
