Tax Associate Attorney

Position Overview The Tax Associate will support clients across a wide range of tax matters, including business, individual, and estate‑related issues. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex tax concepts into practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on federal, state, and local tax matters, including planning, compliance, and controversy.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, opinions, and detailed analyses on tax issues.
Assist with tax aspects of corporate transactions, entity formation, restructurings, and M&A.
Support estate and trust planning through tax‑efficient structures and strategies.
Represent clients before taxing authorities in audits and administrative proceedings.
Draft and review legal documents, agreements, filings, and correspondence.
Collaborate with partners and colleagues across practice groups to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school; strong academic credentials required.
Admission to the Kentucky and/or Ohio Bar (or eligibility to become admitted).
3+ years of tax law experience preferred; LL.M. in Taxation is a plus.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and client‑service mindset.
Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency.
