We’re seeking a member of our quality group who can work with people in various roles to solve problems proactively – a quality and technical professional to help create processes and tools that enable our operations team to deliver products to our customers. What You’ll Be Doing Understand and communicate plans and instructions relating to the Quality objectives of the RFC team. Monitor the process documentation, perform audits, generate documents and coordinate projects, and work with suppliers and customers to maintain day‑to‑day operations. Train on good manufacturing practices and develop and review quality reports for the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Understand all aspects of the Quality System requirements in order to develop methods to utilize resources in the best possible way so that day‑to‑day operations are not interrupted by:

Performing daily product audits of all lines to verify all quality requirements.

Quality staging audits required for product before shipments.

Ensuring all Operators complete required documentation.

Reviewing all Manufacturing Books online to confirm correctness.

Redlining documentation as required by the Quality Group Leader to allow production to continue.

MRB internal rejects as required by the Quality Group Leader.

Reviewing/Calibrating measurement equipment as needed.

Reviewing and signing off on ECRs and drawings as required by the Quality Group Leader.

Initiate, recommend, investigate, trouble‑shoot, and provide solutions and actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconforming related to products, processes, and the quality system.

Develop and analyze statistical data to identify current product standards and establish quality standards for finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications:

Create SPC programs as required.

Review current SPC data to identify areas for improvement or reduced inspection.

Implement and coordinate product quality objectives:

Creation of Control Plans/Inspection Plans, MIP Sheets as needed.

Identifying areas of improvement with current documentation to streamline Operator inspections online.

May interface with customers and suppliers to identify and resolve issues and pinpoint areas for improvement as required by the Quality Group Leader.

Participate in all aspects of the Advanced Quality Planning Process including:

Facilitating Process FMEAs.

Developing Control Plans/Inspection Plans and MIPs.

Completing Customer PPAPs or First Article Submittals.

Working within the team to develop and implement required gauging.

Identify improvements with equipment and gauging methods for current manufacturing processes.

Be a technical resource for all personnel:

Interpret and train employees concerning GD&T principles.

Train employees on proper gauging techniques and measuring methods.

Facilitate Root Cause/Corrective Action for internal and external customer complaints.

Schedule: This position is non‑exempt (overtime pay eligible) and will primarily be day shift hours, working eight or more hours per day, five or more days per week based on business needs.

Qualifications

Five years’ related experience and/or training, including in areas of:

ISO quality systems experience, including auditing, documentation, MRB, PFMEA, Customer PPAPs or First Article Submittals

Customer and vendor‑facing roles that also include investigating, acting on, and resolving customer or vendor issues

Using quality problem‑solving tools and statistical data; creating and monitoring quality plans and related documents

Facilitating problem‑solving meetings and training other team members for good manufacturing practices

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, quality tracking software and experience with manufacturing software packages, including the ability to learn Global Shop Solutions

Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, understand, communicate and train others on quality plans and instructions

Technical skills, including calibration of measuring instruments, blueprint reading, GD&T, SPC

Ability to effectively correspond or present information internally and externally

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

US Person as defined by ITAR/EAR

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Five years’ experience in quality engineer or supervisory role

Local or willing to relocate within 45 miles of Shelbyville, KY
