Logistics Manager
The Logistics Manager at the Customer Center coordinates and implements all aspects of the supply chain to drive customer satisfaction, manage Business Intelligence (BI) reporting, and contribute to sustainable, profitable growth. The mission is to design, implement, and optimize logistics processes, focusing on delivery date transparency, inventory management, kitting, returns, risk mitigation, trade compliance, and BI reporting to achieve local targets and secure world‑class logistics for BeaconMedaes.
Location: Rock Hill, SC
Key Responsibilities
Update ERP system with accurate data to improve delivery forecasts, considering transport times, shipping lanes, and port issues in collaboration with the act! team.
Oversee logistics operations of regional service centers and the Fast Response Center (kitting medical pipeline equipment, receiving, picking, shipping, and warehousing sales stock).
Core Areas Of Responsibility
Design/improve processes for expediting unused part returns.
Conduct data analysis for optimal inventory levels and implement reduction initiatives.
Manage Fast Response Center and inventory actions for all customer center locations.
Oversee order entry for equipment purchases, purchasing, and sourcing of materials.
Conduct/reconcile physical and cycle counting processes.
Manage inbound transport/import administration and outbound transport/shipping (export & domestic).
Oversee logistics of regional warehouses and service contracts.
Support service technician van optimization and stock returns.
Assist business controller with freight recovery analysis (inbound, customs, duties).
Act as SAP key user for logistics operations and inventory control.
Improve RMA process and tracking transparency.
Continuously develop BI reporting and analysis.
Coach and develop logistics team; ensure transparency in end-to-end processes.
Maintain optimum and transparent cost allocation structure.
Compliance Requirements
Adhere to Business Code of Practice (BCOP), Group Trade Compliance Policies, and sustainability responsibilities (reduce CO₂ emissions and packaging waste).
Follow Prokura approval flow, defining authority limits internally and externally.
Prokura-Related Logistics Activities Include
Stock adjustments, scrapping parts/materials, stock replenishment, purchase order approvals.
Call-off material from local vendors.
Manage purchase price variance for external vendors/forwarders.
Approve logistics and freight-related invoices.
Qualifications Supervisory Responsibility
Will supervise the Logistics Specialists (Order Administrator and Inventory Specialist), Purchaser, and Fast Response Center logistics/kitting/receiving/picking/packing/shipping team.
Experience
Bachelor’s (4‑year) degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
Must have good knowledge of operational processes.
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
SAP experience is a plus.
Must be willing to become a proficient leader and key user of SAP logistic processes.
Must have the ability to work independently and possess a high level of initiative, commitment and perseverance as well as strong team orientation and focus on team building.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required, up to 10%.
