Yellowstone Retail is looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate employees to provide unforgettable guest service to our visitors in our retail shops. We operate and maintain eleven retail outlets throughout the park. We don't sell souvenirs, we sell memories!

Job Summary This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service while managing bike rentals, including repairs and sales. Responsibilities include maintaining the rental area, ensuring inventory quality, handling cashier duties, and providing information about bike trails and safety. Collaboration with management to address concerns is also essential.

The Details

Position Type: Seasonal

Season Dates: Early May 2026 to Early October 2026

Pay: $17.25 hourly

Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional guest service by following Xanterra’s hospitality standards

Handle all bike rental tasks, including repairs, retail sales, and proper equipment fitting

Offer detailed visitor information on bike trails, including difficulty levels, and communicate safety rules for bike rentals

Organize and maintain the bike rental area, including pre‑season setup and end‑of‑season storage

Ensure the inventory of bikes and accessories is well‑maintained, performing routine maintenance and assembly of new items

Execute cashiering duties in compliance with cash handling policies and suggest add‑on sales for every transaction

Keep the sales floor clean and organized, adhering to the Retail Standards Manual for product stocking and display

Qualifications

Must have strong understanding of bikes and bike equipment

Be able to perform basic maintenance on all bikes which include bikes with shifters and hand brakes

Able to operate a cash register, handle cash accurately, open and close the store with or without assistance

Demonstrate a basic understanding of Gift Shop procedures by completing the Gift Shop Training Program

Able to function with flexibility and courteous behavior in a high traffic seasonal retail operation

Acquire and demonstrate a basic knowledge of product information

Able to work with a minimum of supervision.

Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality. Take breaks in appropriate area for limited time and use the time clock correctly.

Physical Requirements

Able to stand/walk for a minimum eight‑hour shift

Frequently lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 lbs

Carry boxes/product up and down stairs at most locations several times a day

Must be able to bend down or kneel to stock product frequently during a shift
