Role Overview Our local General Office is seeking a customer service professional to support our agents and management team. As a Service Representative, you’ll work with our Partners to onboard new agents—overseeing the contracting process so they can begin selling New York Life insurance. You will be a steward of the onboarding process—assisting with turning candidates into ready-to-sell agents and keeping everything running smoothly for our Partners.
What You’ll Do
Perform tasks in the contracting system to advance contracts along in the process.
Track background‑check and fingerprint results; follow up with Partners; elevate issues as needed.
Review onboarding paperwork for completeness and accuracy; resolve data or documentation gaps.
Communicate with Partners to provide candidate status updates and answer questions.
Process forms to ensure agents are integrated in our systems correctly.
Assist with in‑person responsibilities to provide support required of the Agents and Agency Managers within the General Office.
What You’ll Bring The role requires strong relationship‑building skills, organizational abilities, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving, ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization.
Required Skills
Experience in customer service and/or office administration.
Clear, professional communication via phone and email and strong stakeholder service.
Meticulous data entry and document review; audit‑ready attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); quick to learn new systems.
Strong organization and time management; able to prioritize and meet SLAs.
Discretion with sensitive information; compliance‑first mindset.
Preferred Skills
Associate or bachelor’s degree.
Experience in insurance/financial services, licensing/contracting, or new agent onboarding.
Familiarity with background checks/fingerprinting workflows and basic FCRA concepts.
Training & Development Customer Service Representatives receive on‑the‑job training to learn about the insurance industry, product and policy provisions, and transaction processing. Coaching and feedback are provided to help you gain the necessary skills to be successful.
Shift Information This is a full‑time onsite position Monday through Friday. Candidates should be flexible to work any 7.5‑hour shift between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Salary Competitive full‑time base salary, overtime eligibility plus target bonus.

Salary Range: $40,000–$43,000
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt

Actual base salary will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees may be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
Pre‑Hire Requirements Pre‑hire fingerprinting and FINRA licensing or associated person status is required.
