We are actively seeking a dynamic Project Executive to oversee the success of new construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive oversight for multiple new construction projects.
Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, superintendents, and project teams.
Establish project goals aligned with company objectives and client expectations.
Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders.
Preconstruction & Planning
Participate in pursuit strategy, budgeting, and project buyout.
Review estimates, schedules, scopes, and risk assessments.
Support contract negotiations and value engineering efforts.
Project Execution
Ensure projects are executed according to contract requirements, schedules, and budgets.
Monitor cost controls, cash flow, change management, and forecasting.
Resolve major project issues, disputes, and risk exposures.
Ensure quality standards and best construction practices are upheld.
Maintain full P&L responsibility for assigned projects.
Review monthly financial reports, cost-to-complete, and revenue forecasts.
Approve major expenditures, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
Safety & Compliance
Champion company safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety programs.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory, contractual, and legal requirements.
Client Relations & Business Development
Serve as senior point of contact for key clients.
Support business development efforts, including presentations and project pursuits.
Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
10+ years of experience in multifamily or affordable housing new construction.
Demonstrated experience with publicly funded projects and regulatory-driven delivery.
Strong understanding of cost controls, contracts, and risk management in affordable housing.
Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Primavera, or MS Project.
OSHA 30 Hour Construction Health and Safety.
Demonstrated success leading high-performing project teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Experience with LIHTC, HUD, HOME, Section 8, or similar affordable housing programs.
Experience working on projects with prevailing wage and public reporting requirements.
Work Conditions This role is Office and job-based role with regular travel to project locations Manhattan, NY.
