Position Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician performs tasks associated with the reprocessing of reusable instruments, supplies, and equipment, and manages inventory of reprocessed and single‑use items for all departments. The incumbent is thoroughly versed in surgical instrumentation, assembles surgical trays, and supports Children’s Minnesota’s mission of patient care with high standards of customer service, family‑centered care, resource utilization, and infection control.

Qualifications

One year of Central/Sterile Processing experience or a similar medical device reprocessing role, or experience working in an operating room.

Graduate of a Central/Sterile Processing Technical College Program and/or certification in sterile processing preferred.

Familiarity with surgical instruments sufficient to assemble surgical trays.

Inventory management experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary is competitive and based on market data. Eligible participants may receive medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Shift differentials or premium pay may apply for night, weekend, or on‑call duties.

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with U.S. Government Form I‑9.
