We are looking for an Electrician for our Taylorsville, MS plywood facility. We manufacture pine plywood panels and siding used in residential and light commercial construction.
Salary
Starting pay $31.02 per hour
$1.50/hr night shift differential

Shift
Must be flexible to work any shift, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.

What You Will Do
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, electronic circuits, motor controls, relay logic, AC/DC drives, and low voltage switchgear.
Install and modify industrial electrical equipment.
Work with mechanical and electrical machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, performing preventative maintenance tasks.
Repair and maintain plant machinery in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
Communicate work performed and equipment statuses both written and verbally.
Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and actively participate in the safety program.
Wear the necessary personal protection equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel‑toe boots, or safety shoes as required.
Willingness to work any shift, on‑call, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
Basic Qualifications
At least 3 years of electrical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment OR a technical degree or higher in an electro‑mechanical curriculum.
Experience reading electrical and maintenance schematics/blueprints.
Experience diagnosing mechanical and electronic systems using scanning and diagnostic tools, multimeters, and computers.
Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, AC and DC motors, motor controllers, and drives.
Knowledge of single and three‑phase troubleshooting up to 480‑volt electrical systems.
Experience running rigid conduit.
Experience installing and terminating network cable.
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience troubleshooting issues with PLCs, VFDs, servo motors, and valves.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks including climbing ladders and working at heights or in confined spaces.
Ability to work in a sawmill environment with dust, noise, heat, and cold conditions.
