IT Field Engineer
Prime Care Technologies, Inc. is looking for an IT Field Engineer in Des Moines, IA. The role requires onsite visits to client sites within and around Des Moines, and candidates must pass a proctored pre‑employment skills assessment (70% or higher) to advance to interview stage. Key Responsibilities
Serve as a customer‑facing technical resource and collaborate with internal and external staff to provide effective end‑user support and issue resolution. Provide first‑class assistance in optimal use of and troubleshooting of the system. Consult with clients and end‑users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Collect detailed information, perform thorough analysis, and use experience and judgment to determine the most effective method of resolution. Perform parameter configuration changes, database performance tuning, and apply software patches. Provide daily operational processing, monitoring, and support, including changes to user administration and application version upgrades. Work with colleagues to smoothly transition new facilities to production operation. Work with vendors as partners to deliver tightly integrated, seamless service to clients. Participate in disaster recovery and client business continuity processes. Participate in the development, refinement, and enhancement of facility process improvements. Participate in the investigation, implementation, and operation of third‑party tools to improve, automate, and streamline service delivery. Create formal documentation including configuration documentation, test documentation, and support documentation. Serve as a project team member on implementations, independently completing assigned tasks of medium to high complexity, resulting in successful on‑time, on‑budget projects. Provide on‑call support coverage via on‑call rotation schedule as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years of relevant Desktop Support and/or hosting experience in a large enterprise environment. Exceptional customer service skills with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving complex computer‑related problems. Ability to work professionally with all levels of client organization staff. Excellent organizational, time‑management, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work quickly and accurately in a shared community environment. Ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal direction. Ability to listen and analyze customer needs. Ability to interact with end‑users, vendors, and client IT departments. Experience in using common customer service software. Present a positive image that reflects well on the organization. Ability to travel. Technical Skills & Certifications
Applicable IT or industry certifications (MCP, A+, Network+, Security+). Database operations and basic administrative functions. Maintenance and configuration of network devices. Storage administration. IP connectivity and troubleshooting. Benefits
