Class B Diesel Mechanic Technician – Performance Foodservice
Perform preventative maintenance on medium- to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units, ensuring compliance with all state and federal trucking regulations. Communicate with co‑workers professionally and maintain accurate documentation in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
Compensation & Benefits
$25.00 per hour or more depending on experience
4‑day work week (10‑hour shifts, Tuesday‑Friday)

Position located in Rice, MN
Position Summary Perform preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and diagnostics on fleet diesel equipment, while maintaining equipment licensing and registration for roadworthiness. Provide road call services as required.
Primary Responsibilities
Complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and standard component inspections on fleet diesel equipment.
Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration before roadworthy status.
Document all work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical components for operating condition and replace parts as needed.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of hand tools and power tools (pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks, and hoists).
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of proven medium‑to‑heavy‑duty vehicle repair experience, including preventive maintenance, tire & wheel service, air & disc brake work, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and A/C refrigeration.
