Pay Up to $45 per hour depending upon experience
Overview When you work with Clarke / Vehicare, you are working with an industry leader. Our Clarke / Vehicare team is currently looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic / Truck Technician with the desire to expand their career and training into alternative fueled vehicles. From minor truck repairs to CNG fuel system inspections, CNG engine maintenance, or major internal CNG engine repair, this opportunity is an exciting next step for your future growth. Don’t have CNG experience? Don’t worry, we will provide the training you need to do your job safely and efficiently while you are getting paid!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Use of smartphone, laptop and tablet technology to perform and record all repairs
Repairs and maintains customer vehicles, Class 8 CNG Tractors
Perform all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs, and scheduled maintenance
Test drive vehicles over 26,000 GVW
Assist other technicians when needed
Must be able to work independently
Standard tech owned tools are required
Major shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialty training is provided
PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance. The associate must be able to read and write reports. Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
6+ years of experience required
Diagnostic skills to include Cummins Insite or similar software program
Certificate or degree from college or technical school required
Ideal candidate must provide a combination of formal training certificates, such as ASE, Supplier Training, OEM Training and/or Drivetrain Training.
