HVAC Technician – Newtown, PA
Monday - Friday first shift, full time direct‑hire The HVAC Technician will perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems supporting office, production, and utility areas. This role ensures the reliable performance and regulatory compliance of environmental control systems critical to pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be a self‑sufficient, highly skilled professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities and experience maintaining systems in a cGMP‑regulated environment. Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and building automation systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with cGMP and company standards. Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions across chillers, air handlers, rooftop units, boilers, and process cooling/heating loops. Inspect, calibrate, and maintain sensors, thermostats, actuators, and control valves for accuracy and reliable operation. Monitor and document system performance, pressures, and temperatures daily to maintain environmental control within validated parameters. Troubleshoot, maintain, and support Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) and associated automation controls. Ensure all work is properly documented in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and performed in full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited vocational or technical training program in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Systems strongly preferred; a combination of equivalent education and experience will also be considered. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commercial or industrial HVAC maintenance and repair. Experience working in FDA‑regulated, GMP, or pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing environments strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in HVAC system diagnostics, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Seniority Level
