Base pay range: $102,900.00/yr - $141,500.00/yr.
Jacobs is seeking a dynamic
Instrumentation Automation SCADA Specialist
to support our water and wastewater facilities across our
Southeast Region
of North America. Your role enables the regional Operational Technology team to better serve project teams by supporting practical, resilient, and secure technology.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Travel to projects throughout the region.
Configure, commission, and maintain Control Panels, PLCs, and SCADA Systems.
Support installation of Control Panels, PLCs, SCADA Servers, and Workstations.
Troubleshoot process control issues and SCADA communications.
Monitor assets remotely, identify maintenance needs or service degradation.
Assist with remote troubleshooting and apply minor updates to SCADA & PLC systems.
Collaborate with facility managers and other disciplines on equipment installation, startup and commissioning.
Document existing infrastructure and develop plans to improve facility control systems.
Manage SCADA user accounts and access controls.
Provide overtime/work outside the regular schedule may be required.
Tools & Equipment
General office equipment: telephone, copier, PC/laptop.
Industrial Control Equipment: VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, embedded devices.
Servers, switches, routers supporting commercial and industrial networks.
Operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, test equipment.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Control System Design, PLC Programming, and SCADA Development.
Solid technical foundation in electrical and/or control system design.
Valid driver’s license (REAL ID) with clean record, and willingness to travel 50% of time.
Integrity,iosity, and Empathy; principle-driven mindset.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
SCADA & PLC OEM certifications.
Background in networking or information systems management.
Understanding of automotive repair, mechanical processes, or manufacturing.
Working Conditions Hybrid position: remote work and up to 50% travel to project sites. Safety-sensitive labor, requiring adherence to safety policies.
