About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality institutional renovations, is seeking a Superintendent to support upcoming higher‑education renovation projects in the Weatherford area. This role is an excellent fit for a proven Superintendent—or a strong Assistant Superintendent or Project Engineer who is ready to step into greater responsibility.
Role Overview The Superintendent will oversee daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met. This individual will be the on‑site leader driving project execution and partnering closely with the Project Manager and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day jobsite operations for higher‑education renovation projects.
Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, inspections, and site logistics.
Maintain and update project schedules, identifying issues early and implementing solutions.
Enforce all safety protocols and site policies, ensuring a safe work environment.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure work meets plans and specifications.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and internal teams.
Assist with project documentation, reporting, and closeout.
Qualifications
Experience in commercial construction required; higher‑education renovation experience strongly preferred.
Open to candidates currently in Assistant Superintendent or Project Engineer roles who are prepared to advance.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, field coordination, and safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
Strong communication, decision‑making, and leadership skills.
Proven ability to maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
