We are seeking entry level and experienced Civil Engineers with 0‑4 years of experience in Water & Wastewater to join our KFA Family to work from either our Austin, Round Rock, San Antonio, or Houston offices.
Primary Responsibilities
Performing water analysis and design studies, detailing and plan set production
Working under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and working with other technical staff to produce quality designs and plans and interpreting plans from other engineering related disciplines (survey, utility, etc.).
Performing specific or broad assignment tasks, assisting with planning, budgeting, and schedule tracking.
Potential work may include assistance with water & wastewater master planning, design, and technical reviews.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Entry level to 4 years of experience in engineering water & wastewater, design, and plan production
EIT Certification or ability to obtain an EIT certification within six months of hire
Ability to work independently at times and as part of a multidisciplinary team at others.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to build relationships with team members.
Additional Consideration For
Experience in MicroStation and ORD
Experience with HEC‑HMS and HEC‑RAS
Familiarity with 2d modeling such as HEC‑RAS 2D, ICM or SWMM
Experience in ArcGIS
TxDOT or municipal design experience
