Electrical Construction Project Administrator
plays a vital support role within the project management team, ensuring that all administrative aspects of electrical construction projects are organized, documented, and efficiently executed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and familiar with the construction industry, particularly in the electrical field.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to project managers and field supervisors for electrical construction projects.
Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, and closeout packages.
Maintain and update project files and documentation logs.
Track project schedules and deadlines, ensuring all documentation is submitted on time.
Coordinate and communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients regarding project status and documentation.
Assist in preparing Direct Owner Purchase billing and invoicing documentation.
Help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company safety policies.
Organize and schedule project meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes as needed.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a construction or electrical contracting environment, ideally in a project administrative role preferred.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.
Strong knowledge of construction documentation and processes.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software (e.g., Autodesk ACC Build, Viewpoint, Bluebeam).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with electrical systems or terminology is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
