Scope of Job This position is responsible for inspection, repairs, installations, and maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. It ensures all work performed meets the required safety codes. It uses a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Generally to complete an apprenticeship. The candidate has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. It independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

Ensures operation of electrical systems and equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on conveyors, programmable controllers, transformers, voltage regulators, and machinery wiring; following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications; troubleshooting.

Repairs electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; determining faulty wiring; inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery.

Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine electrical preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.

Repairs and replaces faulty electrical components by using testing equipment and hand tools to install relays, switches, motors, printed circuit boards, and position-sensing devices.

Troubleshoot & program automated machinery by operating, testing for malfunctions, and verifying repairs to programmable controllers.

Maintains electrical equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

Conserves electrical maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Provides electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.

Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education High school diploma required, Electrical certification and training preferred.

Experience 5-7 years electrical experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience with PLC troubleshooting including Allen Bradley and Siemens. (RsLogix500, PanelBuilder 32, RsLogix5000, FT View Studio, current Siemens PLC/HMI.
