Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment, including PLCs, motors, and control panels.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical components to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
Install, calibrate, and maintain new electrical equipment, wiring, and control systems according to blueprints and specifications.
Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
Adhere strictly to all electrical codes, safety regulations (e.g., Lockout/Tagout), and company policies.
Conduct regular inspections and tests of electrical systems and components to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.
Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used accurately for record-keeping and inventory management.
Recommended Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent state certification.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and VFDs.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E safety standards.
Proven experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing electrical equipment.
Bonus Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude or experience with industrial machinery.
Proficiency in PLC programming (beyond troubleshooting) for various platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order management and preventative maintenance.
Certification or specialized training in robotics, automation, or specific high-voltage systems.
