Job Description Position Summary Under the direction and guidance of Supervision, Senior Operators and Process Technicians, The CPI Pultrusion Operator 1 will tend to and operate pultrusion and fabrication machines to produce required parts as determined by the production schedule and customer requirements. Develop a growing capability including troubleshooting, processing and inspecting profiles.
Primary Responsibilities
Able to understand and follow all safety regulations.
Notify Supervisor and co‑workers of any unsafe conditions.
Capable of operating equipment producing simple profiles.
Able to assist with set‑ups with direction from Process Technician.
Able to assist in line start‑ups.
Able to recognize and solve minor issues and refer complex problems to appropriate associates. Recognize any mechanical issues that should involve maintenance associates.
Complete necessary documentation; process checks, quality checks, production reporting etc.
Able to shutdown and clean each line properly.
Able to remove and clean tooling.
Able to perform other associated or related duties as assigned by Supervision.
Continually take and keep notes on all Pultrusion processes as they are learned.
Participate in all appropriate training and development programs.
Learn and understand proper pultrusion language; e.g., Delam, Porosity, voiding, fouling etc.
Capable of operating all existing secondary fabrication machines and learn any new processes as they are added to production.
Must be able to understand charts and schedules, how to use scales, gauges, calipers, laser measuring equipment, and calculators.
Work from drawings‑as trained.
Read and understand quality check sheets‑as trained.
Read and understand line packs‑as trained. Able to use portable and hand power tools properly‑as trained. Maintain work areas and equipment to ensure a clean and orderly condition.
Perform other associated or related duties as assigned or directed.
Participate in continuous improvement activities as required. Assist with inventory.
Qualifications And Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Have reliable transportation.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Basic computer skills.
Able to work in a TEAM environment.
Able to work any and all overtime.
Pay Range $21.55 - $23.72

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit‑sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
