Your Impact
Responsible for contact and relationship development with clients and partners
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, subconsultants, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration, while focusing on growing Lochner’s presence across the state
Expand and diversify client base beyond current stakeholders
Responsible for recruiting and hiring CEI staff to meet contract and growth needs
Lead preparation of RFP responses and submittals
Identify and lead opportunity pursuits and partnerships
Attend and participate in meetings with clients and consultants
Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to team members; oversee contract negotiations, administration, and compliance, resolving disputes related to contracts
Implement quality control measures to ensure work meets specifications and standards
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues
Coordinate with client and teaming partners to ensure project staffing and services are adequate to meet scoping requirements, serving as a primary point of contact for clients and partners, communicating project progress, issues, and resolutions
Perform document review of contract documents for compliance
Who You Are
B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college preferred
5+ years of experience managing multiple teams across multiple projects and leading inter‑company collaboration
10+ years of transportation engineering experience and construction management experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
Experience building and leading a successful CEI team
Strong time management, leadership, and decision‑making skills
Highly organized in day‑to‑day and long‑term planning and execution, and effectively track and maintain workload planning
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively delegate and negotiate
Must understand contracts, plans, special provisions and documents related to transportation construction and have a functional understanding and ability to learn contract administration and project management software
Must possess valid driver’s license
