Server Assistant / Food Runner Job Responsibilities

Assist Servers in providing warm and efficient service to all guests

Service tables with enthusiasm and a genuine smile welcoming their presence

Adhere to established service standards and protocols

Deliver orders timely and correctly, and perform table maintenance in an efficient and gracious manner

Check in after courses are dropped within an appropriate timeframe to ensure their satisfaction

Assist servers in proper rotation and polishing of glassware, silverware, and other service items

Follow proper hospitality standards when interacting with any guest

Come to work prepared with appropriate tools, laundered and pressed uniform, correct shoes, and a good attitude

Strong, upbeat and positive personality

Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail

Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment

Team and oriented mentality

Dependability

Passion for food, beverage and hospitality

Required Experience

Knowledge of both classic and current food and beverage trends

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an upscale restaurant setting

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be a team player with a strong work ethic

Ability to lift, move, carry 30 – 40 lb boxes / bins / trays

Working Conditions/Environment

The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.

Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.

The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
