Renewal Placement Specialist - Commercial Lines
Join USI Insurance Services as a Renewal Placement Specialist. In this role, you will manage the end‑to‑end marketing process for commercial lines renewals, ensuring coverage transitions to the client service team. What You’ll Do
Collaborate with sales and client service teams to develop renewal marketing strategies. Validate submissions for completeness, send to carriers, and obtain quotes. Respond to underwriter inquiries, negotiate coverage terms, and prepare comparison summaries. Finalize marketing efforts, create client‑ready proposals, bind coverage, and hand off to the client service team. Maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives and serve as a technical resource on market trends and underwriting policies. Keep agency management systems accurate and stay current on industry developments. What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in commercial property & casualty insurance. College degree preferred; Property & Casualty license required. Comprehensive understanding of coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts. Vertical expertise preferred (e.g., construction, manufacturing, real estate, healthcare, financial services). Industry designations (ARM, CIC, CPCU, etc.) are a plus. Exceptional critical thinking, negotiation, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment with minimal supervision.
