Senior Accountant .

Salary: $80k - $95k.

Position Overview The Senior Accountant will join the finance team in a role that blends audit support with full-cycle general ledger accounting. This position is ideal for a CPA with public accounting experience who enjoys maintaining strong controls while remaining hands‑on with month‑end close, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Perform full-cycle general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.

Support internal audit functions, including control testing, walkthroughs, and documentation.

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.

Analyze financial data to identify variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Partner with external auditors and provide audit support as needed.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

Assist with process improvements, documentation, and strengthening internal controls.

Required Experience & Skills

CPA designation (active or in progress with intent to complete).

Public accounting experience with an audit-focused background strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience & Skills

Combination of public accounting and industry experience.

Experience transitioning from audit into operational accounting.

Exposure to SOX, internal audits, or compliance-focused environments.

Experience working within a mid-sized or growing organization.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

CPA required.
