Real Estate Consulting Associate
Baker Tilly US is seeking an Associate to join the Client Accounting Services Consulting Team. Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm with operations across the U.S. and global financial centers.
Overview As an associate, you will provide accounting and financial reporting support services to clients across various industries and geographies. You will work as part of a team to complete deliverables in a timely, high‑quality and accurate manner.
Responsibilities
Provide accounting and financial reporting support to clients under direct supervision.
Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger activities and monthly, quarterly and year‑end reporting.
Prepare client statements and reports for review at the next level.
Communicate status of work, ask timely questions and seek clarity from the lead to keep work progressing.
Answer basic accounting and software questions, escalating as needed.
Maintain and expand knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Stay current with updates on applicable technology platforms and obtain certifications as directed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred; experience in lieu of a degree may be accepted.
0‑2 years of accounting, bookkeeping or related experience desired; professional services experience a plus.
Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles for classifying, recording and summarizing data.
Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct and/or Bill.com a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Compensation $78,000‑$100,000. Actual compensation is influenced by skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
