Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and gather necessary project information to prepare accurate estimates.
Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine material quantities, labor requirements, and project scope.
Prepare and submit project bids and proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Support the sales team by evaluating labor costs, material pricing, and subcontractor quotes to develop reliable cost estimates.
Prepare cost breakdowns and bid summary reports that clearly outline pricing assumptions and total project costs.
Collaborate with project managers, operations, and vendors to ensure estimates reflect current market conditions.
Understand that pricing and negotiations on bids are managed by the sales team.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in walls, ceilings, or painting.
Strong skills in proposals and takeoffs, which constitute a significant portion of the role.
Solid knowledge of blueprint analysis, labor requirements, and bid submissions.
Possess a likable personality, a proactive attitude, and openness to feedback.
Demonstrate common sense and reliability.
