Disability Resource Coordinator Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Student Success, the Disability Resources Coordinator within The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine provides support to DVM students with disabilities. Collaborates with students, faculty and staff to implement accommodations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies. The coordinator will process administrative forms, send correspondence, answer and appropriately triage phone and e‑mail inquiries, make internal and external referrals, and provide excellent customer service. They will communicate to students, SLDS staff members, faculty, staff and community members, generate and share reports with university and CVM partners to ensure appropriate delivery of accommodations and problem‑solve logistical challenges faced in the academic, laboratory and clinical settings.

Job Duties

Administrative responsibilities related to record keeping, customer service, correspondence and referrals.

Coordinate accommodation logistics.

Staff exam space for students with accommodations weekly and as needed.

Effectively problem‑solve to overcome accommodation implementation challenges.

Meet with students to discuss accommodations, logistics and concerns.

Required Qualifications

Previous academic or student services administrative or office support experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new software systems.

Ability to handle sensitive student information with discretion and in compliance with institutional policies.

Previous experience supporting students with disabilities in academic settings.

Desired Qualifications

Preferred minimum years of relevant experience: 2‑4

Certification or vocational training, 2 to 4 years of experience working in a higher education setting, or a front‑desk or reception setting; demonstrated experience working with diverse individuals.

Previous experience supporting students with disabilities in clinical settings.

Salary Range $51,500.00 - $67,250.00 per year; commensurate with experience, internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
