Position Overview
A reputable
general contractor in Roseville, CA
is seeking an
Estimator
to support preconstruction and bidding efforts for commercial construction projects. This role works closely with preconstruction leadership, project managers, and subcontractors to deliver accurate, competitive estimates from conceptual through GMP.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates for commercial construction projects, including conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid phases.
Perform quantity takeoffs and scope reviews across all trades.
Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor bids for completeness and accuracy.
Assist with bid leveling, scope clarification, and subcontractor interviews.
Cost Analysis & Documentation
Develop cost models, budgets, and value engineering options.
Identify project risks, exclusions, and assumptions.
Prepare estimate summaries, bid tabs, and handoff documentation.
Work closely with preconstruction, project management, and field teams.
Participate in design meetings and pre-bid walkthroughs.
Support project transitions from preconstruction to operations.
Qualifications
2+ years of estimating experience with a
general contractor
(commercial preferred).
Experience with ground-up and TI projects is a plus.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, On‑Screen Takeoff, Procore, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of construction documents and trade scopes.
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work onsite in Roseville, CA.
