Overview Live, work, and explore as part of our Field Accounting team in Yellowstone National Park! As Night Auditor, you will play a vital role in supporting day‑to‑day administrative functions that keep the park running smoothly.

Job Summary This role supports the location accounting department by compiling and summarizing daily sales. The position generally works in the middle of the night without direct supervision.

Position Details

Type: Seasonal

Season Dates: Mid‑April 2026 to Mid‑October 2026

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

Audit and correct sales reports and support documentation from location departments

Process and post financial transactions using the computer reservation system

Complete Excel spreadsheets and other reports as assigned by the Location Controller

Ensure compliance with Xanterra accounting policies and procedures across all departments

Maintain accounting office security and confidentiality during night shift

Provide accurate and timely daily sales summaries to GAO and location departments

Handle emergency situations and work independently during night shift

Maintain professional attitude and appearance, performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Accounting degree and/or related work experience

Strong communication and people skills

Motivational, organizational, and time‑management skills

Knowledge of general office procedures

Office machine skills, especially PC experience

Knowledge of MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS Outlook®

Physical Requirements

Sitting at a desk for extended periods

Extensive walking, lifting, and transporting supplies and equipment at times

Loading company vehicles, moving supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds to and from work stations (up to 100 yards)
