Revenue Cycle Specialist - Full Time Remote
Position Overview Our team is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist with a strong background in dental billing and coding, particularly in Eaglesoft practice management software. This role is vital in optimizing our revenue cycle processes across multiple dental locations. You will be responsible for accurate claim submissions, payment postings, appeals, and maintaining compliance with dental billing regulations.
Key Responsibilities Claims Submission Prepare and submit clean dental claims within 24 hours, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payer requirements.
Claims Follow-Up Monitor and resolve outstanding claims aged over 30 days. Address rejections and denials by correcting and resubmitting claims promptly.
Payment Posting Post insurance payments accurately within 24 hours of receipt to maintain current financial records.
Appeals Draft and submit appeals for denied claims, including all required documentation. Ensure follow-up within 30 days.
Compliance & Documentation Adhere to processes outlined in the RCM Manual. Maintain updated fee schedules, coverage tables, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Collaboration & Support Work closely with dental office teams to resolve billing concerns and maintain accurate records. Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
Other Duties As assigned, including tasks to support evolving needs across locations.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of dental billing, coding, and terminology
Proficiency with Eaglesoft and Microsoft Excel
Experience reading EOBs and ERAs, and managing AR over 30 days
Familiarity with credentialing, verification, and fee schedule uploads
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment
Committed to maintaining confidentiality and compliance (HIPAA / PHI)
Willingness to be mentored and adapt to varying practice needs
Preferred experience with InsideDesk and Vyne Trellis
Education & Experience
Minimum 5+ years in dental billing, coding, or revenue cycle management
Prior experience in multi-location dental organizations highly preferred
Strong understanding of dental insurance and payer guidelines
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications a plus
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer
Remote-based role with occasional need for cross-time zone collaboration
Occasional travel required (up to 10%)
