Overview We is seeking a detail‑oriented, analytical, and motivated Revenue Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role will support revenue recognition and order‑to‑cash (OTC) operations, helping ensure compliance with ASC 606 and accuracy across billing, collections, and revenue reporting.
The ideal candidate should have 1‑3 years of hands‑on accounting experience, is eager to progress in SaaS revenue accounting, comfortable working cross‑functionally, and excited to grow in a fast‑paced startup environment. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and Customer Success while gaining hands‑on exposure to revenue processes and systems like Salesforce and NetSuite.
Responsibilities
Support the end‑to‑end revenue accounting process, including revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
Assist with contract review to ensure proper revenue treatment under standard deal structures.
Support order‑to‑cash activities, including billing, deferred revenue tracking, and collections coordination.
Ensure accuracy in Salesforce CRM data, working closely with RevOps to maintain clean, auditable workflows from booking to revenue.
Prepare components of the monthly revenue close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Assist with revenue‑related audits, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
Help document and improve revenue accounting policies, desktop procedures, and internal controls.
Support ERP and system integrations related to revenue workflows.
Analyze revenue and booking related data and trends, escalating issues or insights to senior team members.
Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve billing, contract, and revenue‑related questions.
Requirements Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
1‑3 years of accounting experience, preferably in SaaS, technology, or subscription‑based businesses.
Good understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition concepts (hands‑on experience a plus).
Working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
Experience with or exposure to Salesforce CRM and quote‑to‑cash processes preferred.
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and manage multiple priorities.
Clear communicator with a collaborative, proactive mindset.
CPA candidate or CPA is a plus.
