Position Highlights The Enterprise Risk Manager leads the development and execution of Moffitt Cancer Center’s ERM program, enabling confident, strategic decision-making across the organization. The Manager establishes the ERM frameworks, governance processes, and reporting structures while fostering a culture of risk appreciation and opportunity optimization as well as partnering with senior leaders to identify, assess, manage and monitor risks that impact Moffitt’s mission and objectives.

Responsibilities ERM Program Leadership Develop and maintain ERM policies, frameworks, and methodologies to consistently identify, assess, manage, and monitor risks. Establish governance forums such as the Enterprise Risk Forum and manage operating cadences for risk oversight. Integrate ERM into strategic planning processes to align risk appetite with organizational goals.

Risk Assessment & Analysis Lead top-down enterprise risk inventory development and refresh cycles to identify material risks. Design and oversee bottoms-up risk assessment processes, including pilots and enterprise-wide rollout. Facilitate scenario planning for material financial and strategic risks.

Governance & Reporting Develop and implement risk reporting strategy, including dashboards and Board-level materials. Ensure transparent and timely reporting of risk posture, emerging risks, and mitigation progress to leadership and governance committees. Adopt technology tools (e.g., GRC systems) to enable ERM processes and reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement & Training Create and execute risk education and communication strategy to build a culture of risk awareness. Conduct training sessions and workshops for leaders and risk stewards on ERM principles and processes. Partner with risk stewards across domains to drive consistency and collaboration in risk management practices.

Team Leadership & Development Supervise and mentor ERM team members, including the Enterprise Risk Coordinator. Foster professional growth and continuous improvement within the ERM team. Manage workload prioritization and resource allocation to deliver on multi-year ERM objectives.

Credential and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required. At least 7 years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, compliance, internal audit, or related field. Proven ability to lead risk assessments and implement risk frameworks in complex organizations.

Preferred Experience Healthcare or life sciences industry experience. Familiarity with ERM frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000) and regulatory requirements. Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
