Position Summary The Department of Economics & Finance at North Central College invites applications for a tenure‑track position in Finance to begin August 1, 2026. The candidate will join the faculty of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship as a full‑time Tenure‑Track Faculty Member.
Responsibilities
Provide instruction for both basic and upper‑level courses in finance, including derivatives and financial institutions, as well as MBA or basic economics courses, if needed.
Develop curricula for new finance elective courses in the candidate’s research field.
Mentor undergraduate students and engage students in research when possible.
Pursue research activities in finance, including writing, dissemination, and presentation of research at national conferences.
Basic Qualifications
Terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) in Finance or Financial Economics, or ABD status with completion before the start date.
Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students.
Ongoing scholarship that can be published in high‑quality journals.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Progress toward (or completion of) CFA.
Ability to teach AI, machine learning, and/or fintech.
Experience working with diverse student populations and communities.
