Java / Angular Full-Stack Developer (Opal – Customer Pull Ahead) We are seeking a Java / Angular Full-Stack Developer to support the Opal Customer Pull Ahead initiative, focused on enhancing proactive customer engagement, visibility, and self-service capabilities.

This role will help modernize customer-facing applications that enable early insights, predictive notifications, and seamless interactions across enterprise systems.

The developer will work on both backend services and modern web interfaces to support real-time data access, workflow automation, and customer-driven actions within the Opal platform.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.

Build scalable backend services to support customer “pull-ahead” scenarios such as early alerts, predictive updates, and proactive engagement.

Develop responsive, user-friendly Angular interfaces for customer-facing portals and dashboards.

Integrate with enterprise systems providing operational, logistics, and customer data.

Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven services to enable near real-time updates.

Ensure secure data access, role-based authorization, and compliance with enterprise security standards.

Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and integration teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.

Support production deployments, performance tuning, and ongoing enhancements.

Required Technical Skills

Java (8+/11+), Spring Boot, Spring MVC

RESTful API design and implementation

Experience with messaging or event frameworks (Kafka, JMS, or equivalent)

Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines

Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience with customer portals, self-service platforms, or B2B digital applications

Integration experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) or enterprise platforms

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or SAP BTP)

Understanding of event-driven and microservices architectures

Experience in transportation, logistics, or enterprise operations environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams

Excellent communication skills for collaboration with business and technical stakeholders

Customer-centric mindset with focus on usability and reliability
