Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Lead
to manage and optimize our digital delivery processes in the Advanced Manufacturing sector. This is a site‑based role with flexible home office location in the U.S.
Responsibilities In this key role, you will provide VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery management and leadership by aligning technologies with internal and client goals, define digital delivery scope for project estimates, and coordinate project technical setup and model deliverables. As the VDC Lead, you will create and implement Design and Construction BIM Execution Plans for EPCM; integrate VDC tasks including 3D logistics and safety planning, 4D scheduling, 5D cost and quantity take‑offs; define, coordinate, administer and manage the use of the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud) from design to construction; kick‑off, manage and track progress on Clash Detection; lead clash resolution meetings; serve as BIM Subject Matter Expert; coordinate laser scan data integration; manage model redline and as‑built processes; verify construction install with model‑based practices; create project processes and lead mobile device trainings; lead reality capture and progress reporting; and act as technology lead providing field technical troubleshooting.
As the VDC Lead, you will be involved with stakeholder collaboration and act as the Digital Delivery and VDC stakeholder and lead on Design and Construction projects. You will consult during business development, collaborate with clients, representatives, and contractors, manage trade partner modeling efforts, and support team development by developing training materials and offering technical guidance.
Qualifications
At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry
Strong understanding of BIM technologies and their application in manufacturing environments
Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Revizto) and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Proven track record of onsite leadership of VDC activities
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment on a project site and virtually
Experience in developing and implementing BIM execution plans
Strong understanding of construction processes and MEP systems
Willing to work on site at a project near Baton Rouge, LA
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
