Under the general direction of the Human Resources Director, the Title IX Coordinator and Compliance Officer serves as a primary resource for faculty, staff, and student rights and responsibilities. The Title IX Coordinator and Compliance Officer provides oversight in the areas of Title IX issues and peer training for staff, faculty, and administrators. The Title IX Coordinator and Compliance Officer will also be responsible for overseeing and coordinating Title IX investigations, responses, and resolutions to complaints. The mission of the University is to serve as a resource for helping students resolve university-related issues and concerns and advance to earn their degrees. We are committed to supporting the academic success of students by fostering the development of integrity and problem-solving skills; teaching self-advocacy and personal responsibility; and providing students with opportunities to learn and practice the fundamental principles of good citizenship and responsible leadership. Essential duties include developing, overseeing, and maintaining processes for receiving all Title IX complaints and reports of sexual harassment, sexual violence, and related allegations of misconduct; keeping affected parties apprised of the status of complaints; ensuring investigations are adequate, reliable, timely, confidential, and impartial; and managing cases in compliance with Title IX and Clery requirements. Also included are working with investigators on proposed sanctions to ensure they stop the misconduct and prevent recurrence, coordinating with the General Counsel as custodian of records, safeguarding confidentiality, and collaborating with Title IX staff to ensure informed and consistent communication in policy implementation. Provides educational programs regarding discrimination and sexual harassment prevention; prepares and disseminates educational materials; delivers training to college constituents to promote knowledge of institutional policies and standards. Collaborates with other departments to communicate Title IX policy and strengthen the campus culture toward a safe and respectful environment. Essential Job Functions
Monitors, audits, and oversees compliance of University policies and procedures to meet federal and state obligations (including Title IX, VAWA, Campus SaVe Act, ADA/Section 504, Clery Act, OSHA, and Title VII). Monitors environmental, health, and safety matters and serves as a resource in these areas. Recommends solutions to identified compliance exposures and oversees implementation where applicable. Acts as the Operational Guide repository, facilitating approved changes and communicating updates. Works with the General Counsel’s Office, Human Resources, Student Affairs, Athletics, and Campus Police. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Experience leading collaboration across campus with a deep understanding of the complexities of the university community. Ability to oversee investigations and review writing to ensure high quality outcomes; maintain neutrality under stress. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to listen, show sensitivity, and respect diverse needs. Ability to resolve complaints in a neutral and sensitive manner within a university-wide community. Ability to establish professional relationships with staff at all levels and interpret complex legal documents to evaluate impact on policy. Ability to identify compliance exposure and oversee implementation of solutions. Supervisory Responsibility
This position does have supervisory responsibility. Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical interior and/or office environment. No or very limited physical effort or exposure to physical risk. Other Duties

Master's degree in higher education administration or a related field, plus at least seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership roles in higher education or related fields, and experience training and developing staff.
