A mid-sized company in the Valley is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for GL and operational accounting while assisting with month-end close. To be successful in this role the Senior Staff Accountant role, the candidate must be smart, independent, big-picture oriented, and be comfortable working in an outgoing people culture.
What do you need for this Senior Staff Accountant role?
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
3+ years of experience in accounting
Advanced Excel
Knowledge of US GAAP
What will you do in this Senior Staff Accountant role?
Process invoices on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Manage collections primarily via email, communicating professionally and effectively with clients
Maintain accurate records across multiple revenue channels (TV ad sales, affiliate marketing, branded video, etc.)
Reconcile accounts and ensure entries in NetSuite reflect proper accounting treatment
Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and other team members to support monthly closes and reporting
Provide insights into transactions, ensuring financial activity aligns with accounting principles
Support ad hoc projects and reporting as needed
