Job Overview As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, you’ll develop and grow your own practice, supported by branch associates, a home‑office team and other regional financial advisors. Key Responsibilities
Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (e.g., residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media and speaking engagements).
Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalised, comprehensive strategies to help clients achieve their goals.
Oversee branch processes, roles and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines.
Engage the branch team to create, monitor and adjust the branch business plan to increase branch effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
Create a highly engaging environment in the branch of mutual trust, respect, feedback and accountability.
Complete ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities, and maintain registrations and licences in good standing.
Work with a firm‑provided branch office in the community.
Receive client support to help lighten the load so you can focus on your clients.
Have a support network that extends from your client support team office to your region to the home office – you work independently but are backed by thousands of colleagues.
Benefits Edward Jones’ compensation and benefits package includes medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), disability income continuation, basic life and basic AD&D coverage. Income continuation, basic life and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to financial advisors. It also offers a 401(k) retirement plan, health‑savings accounts and flexible‑spending accounts. Financial advisors enjoy flexibility in their schedule, paid sick leave, paid time off where required by law, and may be eligible for bonuses, profit sharing, paid medical and parental leave (subject to eligibility) and participation in the firm’s Travel Award Programme.
