The Job As a Regional Controller, SEF Americas, you’ll be part of our Industrial Global Operations Finance team as an onsite employee.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partner
Partner closely with Operations to provide the necessary information & tools.
Forward‑looking team member taking joint accountability for financial & operational commitments.
Present financial and operational issues in a comprehensive business case format, contributing to strategic decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve and standardize processes and routines for value creation.
Foster a climate of continuous improvement and accountability via coaching, performance measurement and feedback.
Operational Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and manage actual, forecast, and budget scenarios throughout the year.
Provide financial insights and weekly reports of plant metrics and KPIs.
Lead cost‑reduction initiatives, collaborating across engineering, procurement, and plant operations.
Monthly Close and Financial Reporting
Lead the monthly close by reviewing and recommending journal entries and interpreting income statement results.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company financial policies.
Controls & Asset Safeguarding
Ownership of financial management, internal controls, SOX and company requirements; Audit Leader for sites.
Focus on inventory controls, aging analysis, cycle counting, physical inventory, and fixed asset controls.
Standard Costing
Ensure accurate annual and daily standard costs.
Lead development of standard cost builds and communicate changes across finance and non‑finance teams.
The Person
Bachelor’s degree in a financial discipline.
Prior experience in Manufacturing Operations.
Ability to work independently and know when to seek help.
Knowledge of financial accounting principles and concepts relevant to the responsibilities.
Strong cost‑accounting expertise: standard costing, budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, trend analysis, project costing, controls, business case analysis.
Strategic mindset with focus on process improvement.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with JD Edwards, Sage Fixed Assets, or Hyperion Financial Management a plus.
