Position Summary The

Senior Manager, Global Benefits & Payroll

role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives. The Senior Manager leads a team of professionals who manage the day-to-day administration of payroll and benefits, focusing on process optimization, governance, and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and mentor the payroll and benefits teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant execution of all programs.

Drive the process of global payroll and benefits operations, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory environments.

Establish performance standards, service-level metrics, and quality controls across all geographies.

Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex payroll or benefits issues requiring managerial intervention.

Partner with Sr Director, People Operations to manage budgets, and align total rewards initiatives with broader organizational priorities.

Represent the function in audits, leadership reviews, and cross-functional projects impacting total rewards.

Oversee global payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with tax, labor, and statutory requirements.

Ensure internal controls, audits, and documentation standards are maintained and aligned with compliance standards.

Evaluate and implement process improvements and technology enhancements to support scalability and efficiency.

Act as the point of contact and assume the Payroll Manager’s responsibilities in their absence.

Provide oversight of global benefits programs, including health, retirement, insurance, and wellness initiatives.

Assess and benchmark programs to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.

Oversee the communication and education of benefits programs to enhance employee understanding and engagement.

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous evaluation of competitive global benefits programs, including health, retirement, insurance and wellbeing initiatives.

Analyze benefits utilization and employee feedback to inform recommendations for program improvements.

Oversee open enrollment, and benefits communications in partnership with the Sr. Director, Operations and Corporate Communications.

Collaborate with Sr Director, People Operations and Finance to manage benefits budgets, cost modeling, and forecasting.

Partner with the Sr Director, People Operations to ensure regional benefits offerings are competitive and compliant with local requirements.

Ensure all benefit plans are administered in accordance with company policies, and statutory obligations.

Act as the point of contact and assume the Benefit Manager’s responsibilities in their absence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related field, preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in payroll and benefits administration, with at least 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role.

Proven success leading multi-country teams and ensuring compliance in complex, global environments.

Strong knowledge of global employment laws, tax regulations, and benefits administration best practices.

Experience with enterprise HRIS and payroll systems, preferably ADP.

Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) (preferred).

SHRM-SCP or SPHR (preferred).

Compensation $140,760 - $165,600 a year
