Job Responsibilities
Provide customer service to all employees and administer all Human Resources programs.
Develop and ensure all company policies and procedures comply with applicable government legislation and the Magna Employee’s Charter.
Develop, maintain and continuously improve the effectiveness of Human Resources programs, employee handbook, policies and procedures, including Employee Relations, Staffing/Retention/Motivation, Employee Orientation, Training & Development, Communications, Compensation, Payroll & Employee Benefits, Organizational Development, Organizational Change, and Succession Planning.
Coach and guide management regarding Performance, Discipline, Diversity, Policies & Procedures and Teamwork.
Ensure employee confidentiality and data integrity is strictly maintained.
Administer HR activities in assigned areas, including recruitment and hiring, apprenticeship program, orientation/onboarding, training, disability & FMLA, benefits administration, E‑Time administration, attendance, continuous improvement activities, requisitions and job posting process, performance appraisals, pay progressions, personnel files, progressive discipline, terminations, layoffs, and exit interviews.
Provide support for employee recognition and engagement events.
Position Requirements
Ability to respond to employee issues, concerns, suggestions, and complaints in a timely manner.
Ability to provide feedback to managers, supervisors, and employees both positive and negative on an ongoing basis.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree, major in Business Administration or Human Resource Management or other related field.
Work Experience & Technical Training
+ years Human Resources experience. SHRM or PHR certification a plus.
Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment; automotive a plus.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems (Workday, ADP).
Must be able to prioritize and multi‑task.
