Job Summary: The Dignity in Pay Program Supervisor (QIDP) is a new role, established and funded in part through a grant awarded to Vista Care. This role is expected to work in partnership with other members of Vista Care Leadership to start, establish, and oversee a service/business line, within the confines of the grant, to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in establishing meaningful work opportunities within their local communities through working towards gaining the skills and abilities necessary to work in the community in a competitive environment with or without supports.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develops, oversees, and manages the Dignity in Pay Program and works to further expand service offerings within the local community and beyond.

Provides supervision and management for team members ensuring the highest levels of quality care and support are provided in alignment with Vista Care Values. This includes but is not limited to completing performance reviews for core team members and providing ongoing mentorship and support.

Partners with the People Division and other centralized support departments on team member training plans and competencies and is responsible for playing an active role in the training and development process.

Responsible for successful marketing and growth of the Dignity in Pay Program in line with grant specifications.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with key local community members and businesses.

Provides and oversees complete and accurate documentation per protocols to meet local, state, and company requirements.

Attends key monthly meetings and participates in the development of ISPs as invited.

Completes required and requested reporting.

Ensures all staff act in accordance with Vista Care Values.

Develops and maintains an effective communication relationship with other Supervisors, QIDPs, Direct Support Professionals, and Individuals including interdisciplinary care teams, providers, and family members.

Provides QIDP leadership and support to assigned areas/team members.

Ensures employee and individual rights are adhered to including the right to complain without fear of retribution.

Works in close partnership and collaboration with Community Day Services Supervisor and Community Supports Supervisor.

Complete employment skill assessments for persons with Developmental Disabilities.

Performs other duties as assigned by Vista Care leadership.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Previous experience in residential services, customer service, or other human services fields preferred.

1+ years of experience in supporting individuals with disabilities required.

3+ years of experience as a direct supervisor or manager of others preferred.

Critical thinking and the ability to make effective decisions that align with Vista Care Mission, Vision, and Values.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to supervise and manage others while ensuring the best possible care and support is provided to individuals.

Maintains a high degree of professionalism, including maintaining professional boundaries and adherence to confidentiality.

Ability to function well in a high-paced, stressful environment.

Adaptability to organizational changes and the willingness to be a change agent.

Proficiency with computer technology.

Demonstrated record of goal achievement and of successfully taking on increased responsibility with positive results.

Demonstrated ability to develop and monitor partnership agreements and contracts.

Ability to develop and foster strong partnerships with internal and external audiences.

Demonstrated experience with marketing and/or external branding and brand awareness.

Preference for experience with grant development or grant management.

Valid driver’s license and clear driving record in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Vista Care’s best practices required if the position requires transport of persons served in a company owned vehicle. Authorization must be provided to Vista Care to obtain a DMV record which can be approved for coverage by our company insurance carrier.

Ability to read/write, comprehend in English language to facilitate documentation requirements and ability to comprehend Behavioral Support Plans/Individual support Plans.

Supervision:

Directly supervises members of program staff.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor's degree required, human services field preferred.

Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) training certification required and incumbent must maintain appropriate certification throughout their time in the position.

CPR certification preferred.

Must be knowledgeable regarding CILA Rule 115, CMS HCB Waiver, Medication Administration Rule 116, Illinois Waiver Rule 120, Illinois HBS review, Ligas Review, Developmental Training Rule 119, OIG Rule 50, Individual Service and Support Advocacy.

Ability to successfully complete all federal, state, and local requirements.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Works in community setting 50+%, remainder of time working in a workshop or day center environment.

Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds on a routine basis to assist with individuals supported.

Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach and assist individuals supported with their movements including their ability to stand up.

May require working under stressful conditions at times and handling emergencies.

There will be pressure at times to meet scheduled appointments and deadlines and manage crisis situations.
