The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Newaygo seeking Recruiters who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and recruit qualified candidates for a range of manufacturing roles, including production, skilled trades, engineering, and supervisory positions.
- Partner with manufacturing hiring managers to understand departmental needs, job requirements, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from requisition creation and candidate screening to offer negotiation and onboarding coordination.
- Conduct thorough interviews and assessments, evaluating candidates' technical skills, experience, and cultural fit within a manufacturing environment.
- Develop and maintain a robust talent pipeline for critical and hard-to-fill manufacturing positions.
- Utilize diverse sourcing channels, including job boards, professional networks, trade schools, and local community outreach, to attract top talent.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing operations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience recruiting for diverse roles within manufacturing (e.g., production, engineering, skilled trades).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, terminology, and technical role requirements.
- Proficiency in sourcing strategies and utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills, including evaluating technical competencies.
- Understanding of local labor markets and talent pools relevant to the manufacturing industry.
Bonus Qualifications
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish) relevant to the local workforce
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes or technical trades (e.g., CNC, welding, automation)
- Experience with high-volume hourly hiring strategies
