Lead Executive @ Acuity Analytics | Talent Sourcing Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior DBA to manage and optimize our mission‑critical SQL Server environment. The person will handle daily operations, troubleshoot complex performance issues, and ensure high availability for our financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Operations:
Oversee installation, configuration, backups, and patching for a mixed fleet of SQL Servers.
Tune Performance:
Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, and slow queries.
Ensure Availability:
Maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) systems, including Always On Availability Groups and Transactional Replication.
Support Development:
Advise teams on SQL best practices, indexing, and code optimization.
On‑Call:
Provide support for overnight batch jobs and critical production incidents.
Requirements
Experience:
8+ years as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment.
Technical Skills:
Deep knowledge of SQL Server internals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting tools.
HA/DR Expertise:
Hands‑on experience with Always On, Failover Clustering, and Log Shipping.
Communication:
Ability to clearly guide developers and stakeholders on database best practices.
