The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Montague that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly production and skilled trades positions.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
- Administer HR policies and procedures, and facilitate new hire onboarding for manufacturing staff.
- Support workers' compensation claims management and promote a safe working environment.
- Process payroll changes, benefits administration, and maintain accurate HR records.
- Conduct HR investigations and advise management on disciplinary actions.
Recommended Qualifications
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA) and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, and administrative roles.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and conducting investigations.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and experience with payroll processing.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and safety compliance in a plant environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience supporting a unionized workforce or familiarity with labor relations.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.
- Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety best practices.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
