The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and administrative roles, ensuring timely staffing for manufacturing operations.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, and company regulations.
- Oversee new hire onboarding, orientation, and facilitate initial safety training for manufacturing employees.
- Process payroll changes, manage benefits administration, and handle leave of absence requests for the manufacturing workforce.
- Support and promote workplace safety initiatives, assist with incident investigations, and manage workers' compensation claims.
- Maintain accurate HR records and utilize HRIS for data management and reporting specific to manufacturing workforce analytics.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, with a significant portion in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations, particularly those impacting manufacturing operations (e.g., OSHA, FLSA).
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruitment for a diverse range of manufacturing roles, including skilled trades and production staff.
- Strong experience in employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes within a factory setting.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and payroll systems, coupled with strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of HR best practices related to safety programs, workforce planning, and compensation structures typical in manufacturing.
Bonus Qualifications
- Multilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with HRIS implementation or significant system optimization projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety protocols.
