Gaudenzia’s Mission:

Promote long‑term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co‑occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Driving Requirements:

Must possess a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years, in good standing, with no suspended status, no more than 2 moving violations or reportable accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUIs or fatal accidents in the past 5 years.

Availability:

Flexible schedule for 24/7 staffing needs; must be able to work on‑call shifts and handle substitutions as required.

Your Responsibilities

Screen and process new admissions; take head counts during hourly runs; document client movement in the communication log.

Screen clients’ personal belongings upon entry; monitor in‑ and out‑movement; account for whereabouts; maintain and monitor client sign‑out book.

Coordinate in‑house activities based on the program schedule (chores, breaks, exercise, leisure, visits).

Maintain accurate daily census and report infractions or incidents to staff.

Conduct client orientation sessions, seminars, and morning meetings as directed.

Assist with transportation or escort clients to medical or other appointments.

Perform and document room searches and random searches as directed.

Restrict access to unauthorized persons.

Supervise clients taking medications as appropriate.

Conduct regular room checks per program schedule.

Follow protocol for reporting unauthorized absences.

Monitor urinalysis/drug screening and breathalyzers as instructed.

Supervise daily program activities, meals, and medication line.

Tour the facility regularly for safety checks; conduct fire drills and safety inspections.

Ensure vehicles remain clean and perform weekly vehicle inspections.

Maintain facility cleanliness through sanitation procedures and report needed repairs.

Manage inclement weather property maintenance (shoveling, salting, de‑icing).

Complete written reports, documentation, and electronic incident reports.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

Effective client interaction and assistance with problem adjustment.

Basic knowledge of substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders.

Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.

Ability to build working relationships with staff, agencies, and the public.

Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (preferred).

Flexibility for various shifts.

Basic computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
